Q: Can you tell us a little about your role as Director of Recreation?
A: As the Director of Recreation, I have the pleasure of overseeing the Mandel Recreation Center, two world-class tennis centers, and the Palm Beach Par 3 golf course.
Q: Can you tell us a little about the Mandel Recreation Center and what it offers?
A: The Mandel Recreation Center opened about three years ago and offers a diverse range of activities to cater to all ages and fitness levels. With wellness programs, a boutique fitness center, and courts for pickleball, tennis, and basketball, there's something for everyone. The Center also features an indoor playground for kids. The wellness programs focus on holistic well-being and include yoga, meditation, and group fitness classes. The boutique fitness center provides a personalized and premium experience with state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated trainers. The courts are perfect for family-friendly competitions or sports teams.
Q: What are some of the other complimentary amenities that Marina slip holders have access to?
A: Some of the great amenities that we have here include our amazing Recreation Center, the beaches, golf courses, and tennis courts. One of my favorite places to go is Worth Ave. There are great stores and vistas that are just great for walking. The best time to go is early in the morning before the crowds.
Q: What do you think about the recent Marina renovations and how that has impacted the Rec Center?
A: The newly renovated Town of Palm Beach Marina has garnered significant praise and enthusiasm from both residents and visitors alike. Serving as a fantastic complement to the Recreation Center, it features an exceptional staff and cutting-edge enhancements. In tandem with the opening of the Rec Center, the renovated Marina and Lake Drive Park have sparked a transformative era of health and fitness on the island.
Q: Why should people come and visit the town of Palm Beach?
A: Well, we have the best views and the greatest weather. It's the perfect place to visit and everything is world-class. We have the best beaches the best restaurants and amazing recreational activities. There is no place else to be but Palm Beach!
