We've Cut the Ribbon

Under sunny skies and the perfect South Florida breeze we celebrated the grand opening of our Palm Beach Marina and Lake Drive Park with a ribbon-cutting on December 9th, 2021. Our new town jewel stays true to the values of Palm Beach while offering world-class yacht owners’ access to a timeless destination.

Carolyn Stone, Assistant Town Manager and lead project manager, kickstarted the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and welcomed the crowd, “It’s not only beautiful to look at, but our close-to-brand-new Marina is chock full of high-tech amenities that truly bring us into the 21st century, and today’s world of sophisticated, luxury yachting. And most importantly, it’s already 90% occupied!”

The program continued with The Town of Palm Beach Police and Fire Honor Guard, comments from Mayor Danielle Moore, followed by brief remarks from key volunteer and fundraiser Scott Snyder, and internationally acclaimed landscape architect Keith Williams.

"This marvelous Marina will be a perfect addition to what makes Palm Beach so unique and wonderful,” said Mayor Moore.

As key in bringing the project to fruition, the Mayor thanked the full Town Council, and funders Florida Inland Navigational District (FIND) and specifically its Commissioner Charlie Isiminger, who presented a $4.4 million contribution check for the funding of the project and talked about FIND’s mission.

Among those in attendance at the ribbon cutting were Council President Margaret Zeidman; Council President Pro-tem Bobbie Lindsay; Council Members Julie Araskog, Ted Cooney and Lew Crampton; Town Manager Kirk Blouin; and Deputy Town Manager Jay Boodheshwar. Also in attendance was Mayor of West Palm Beach Keith James. The honorable Gail Coniglio, the Town’s immediate former Mayor of ten years, was also in attendance and received much credit for her role on shepherding the project through both state and local government channels.

We would like to extend gratitude to our generous donors, the community, as well as each person that came to celebrate our one and only public Marina in Palm Beach and our newly renovated Lake Drive Park, as we are proud to be "Anchored in the Heart of Palm Beach.”
