When buying a superyacht that is nearly 300 feet long with the desire to set sail (or stay put) in Palm Beach, the options for docking may seem limited.
But with the town of Palm Beach nearing completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation reopening on Nov. 1, some residents can now call the Town of Palm Beach Marina home for their superyachts.
The $40 million in upgrades and improvements will transform the classic docks into a yacht center that will welcome vessels from 60 feet to the 294 feet, superyacht size. The classic Town Marina is currently taking seasonal (Nov. 1-April 30), annual (Dec. 1-Nov. 30), and transient slip reservations.
The only public marina in Palm Beach has been providing berthing for power and sail yachts since the 1940s. The new Town Marina will provide patrons with 84 slips, located along the classic Australian, Brazilian, and Peruvian docks, while introducing a new 250-foot Royal Palm Dock. Marina patrons will benefit from an enhanced master plan that includes a floating dock system along with a suite of technological upgrades such as high-speed Wi-Fi, enhanced shore power, and state-of-the-art security systems. There also is complimentary access to the oceanfront Par 3 Golf Course, the recently updated health and wellness facilities at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center, and the town’s 13 tennis courts.
