The sea is calling – not just for you, but for your four-legged companions too. In Palm Beach, life on the water isn’t just reserved for people. Whether you're out for a weekend getaway on your yacht or simply spending a few hours soaking up the sunshine, having your dog by your side makes the experience that much sweeter. At the Palm Beach Marina, we believe every member of the crew – whether human, canine or your species du jour – deserves to feel right at home. With dog-friendly amenities like water stations, adjacent parks and more, Palm Beach is more than a destination; it’s a place where pups live like true VIPs.
Palm Beach dogs aren't just pets, they’re practically celebrities in their own right. They could be cruising the crystal-clear waters aboard a luxury yacht or lounging on the beach in style (with you along for the ride), these pups are living their best lives. Here, dogs are just as much a part of the glamorous Palm Beach lifestyle as their owners – driving vintage cars, flaunting designer accessories, and enjoying all the indulgences this upscale haven has to offer.
The Town Palm Beach Marina is a pet-friendly paradise, known for its laid-back, pet-loving atmosphere. Adjacent to the Marina is Lake Drive Park, a great spot for your dog to stretch their legs, socialize and cool off, especially with two dedicated dog fountains. Just be sure to keep your dog on a leash in high-traffic areas and clean up after them to help keep the Marina and its surroundings pristine for all.
Get Your Pup Shipshape: Before you hit the high seas, make sure your dog is ready to embark. Some pups may need a little extra training to get used to the boat's motion or the confined space. Start with short trips to build their confidence and comfort.
Floatation Fashion: Even the best doggie swimmers benefit from a life jacket. Choose one that fits properly, has reflective strips for visibility, and comes with a sturdy handle to easily lift your dog back onto the boat if needed.
Leash & Harness: While your pet may enjoy the freedom of the open deck, a leash and harness are your dog’s best friends when cruising. They’ll stay secure on deck and avoid any accidental dives.
It’s Always Sunny…In Palm Beach: Dogs can get sunburned too. If yours has short or light-colored fur, be sure to use a dog-safe sunscreen on their nose, ears and any exposed areas to keep them safe from harmful rays.
Paw Protection: The dock can get hot, especially in the sun, so make sure your pup’s paws are protected. Consider dog-friendly shoes to help prevent burns or abrasions from hot wood or metal. Always check their paws before and after walks to ensure they’re in tip-top shape.
Hydration Station: Boats are fun, but let’s not forget how important it is to keep your furry friend hydrated. Bring along a portable water bowl and plenty of fresh water for sunny days on the water.
Prepare for Rough Waters: If your pup gets seasick (it happens to the best of them!), try feeding them smaller meals and offering fresh water throughout the day. A little ginger can also help soothe their stomach, but always check with your vet if you’re concerned about their sea legs.
At the Palm Beach Marina, it’s not just the boats that make waves – our four-legged friends are always stealing the show! From playful pups to seasoned sailors, the Marina is home to a crew of charming pets who make every visit just a little more tail-wagging fun. Here’s a peek into some of the personalities that make the Palm Beach Marina paw-sitively unforgettable.
