As we wave farewell to 2022, ’tis the “sea-sun” to reflect, give thanks, celebrate with loved ones, and of course, reserve a slip at the Town of Palm Beach Marina! This year was filled with moments of glee and gloom as things began to return to normal — albeit a very new normal – from supply chain disruptions and economic uncertainty, to the adoption of hybrid work-from-home practices. Not to mention multiple triumphant superyacht launches, including Blue (the fifth longest yacht in the world measuring 525 ft); the lavish Palm Beach Beckham-Peltz wedding; the return of Bennifer (Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez); and let’s not forget about the exclusive penthouse listing atop the Tiffany & Co. building on Worth Avenue (now that’s what we call “Breakfast on Tiffany’s”). It will definitely be a year to remember, especially for us at the Town of Palm Beach Marina, with our wildly successful reopening and renovation – that’s right, pop the “Prosecc-ho-ho-ho.”
This year, our Marina celebrated the anniversary of its $40 million transformation, well exceeded first-year lease revenue projections, and was over 90% booked after being open for less than 3 months. Additionally, we received three Neptune Awards for outstanding marine industry marketing for the "Anchored in the Heart of Palm Beach" advertising campaign by the Marine Marketers of America.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the community, our employees, and our slip holders for a wonderful year. As you explore the island town, no matter if you have been nauti-cal or nice, be sure to check out our list of holiday "exclusives" in Palm Beach (and treat your “elf"):
Spruce things up and get into the holiday spirit by exploring the Christmas trees at Bradley Park and Memorial Park, and along Worth Avenue and Hibiscus Avenue. May your days (and nights) be sparkly and bright!
Immerse yourself in festive lights at Whitehall (Flagler's original name for the manse) this season. The exterior and first floor are transformed into a Christmas wonderland with greenery, trimmings, and ribbons. Don’t “fir-get” to check out the 16-foot-tall tree in the Grand Hall, adorned with colored "fairy" lights and traditional Gilded Age-style ornaments.
“Spill the tea” during Holiday Tea at the Breakers featuring delicate pastries and handcrafted sandwiches. On Christmas Day, delight in a spirited brunch at The Circle with unlimited Champagne cocktails, and The Breakers' custom-blended wine. Fancy an elaborate holiday dinner? Check out the Ponce de Leon Ballroom, trimmed in twinkling lights for a sophisticated and classic buffet, or indulge in a three-course prix fixe menu at the Flagler Steakhouse.
